Rare Footage Richard Thompson has a musical career of almost four decades, but film or video of performances are pretty hard to find. In 1985 a concert video entitled "Richard Thompson: Across A Crowded Room" has been released. There has been the odd video clip, the odd tv appearance in England, France and The Netherlands, guest appearances on old Fairport Convention videos, but what the fans are needing is a concert dvd every 3-5 years. This web site mentions some recent visual products, all shown on tv. "Man On The Edge" is a 40 minutes Dutch (VPRO) tv-documentary, "Solitary Life" is a 60 minutes documentary - "with some rare footage" - made in 2002 for BBC tv and shown for the first time on February 7 2003.
